The claim
Because of soaring memory prices, Samsung will sell 8GB/256GB versions of the Galaxy S27 and S27+ alongside 12GB/512GB models, while the S27 Pro and Ultra start at 12GB.
Why we rated it Rumor
From leaker @kro_roe on X, relayed by SamMobile and 9to5Google. It contradicts a September leak that had the S27 keeping the S26's 12GB base, but it fits the memory shortage: Yonhap reports most of Samsung's 2027 DRAM output is already sold to big tech customers. The same leaker says Samsung may mix UFS storage generations and cut pre-order storage upgrades. Samsung has said nothing.
